I went to San Francisco for the second time this year, also the third time in my life.
This time, I particularly liked the architecture. I am in love with the Transamerica Pyramid. Aside from being beautifully unique, it serves as my North Star to North Beach. Italian food and foreigners… smiles. The mussel appetizers were amazing at Caffe Delucchi and Calzone’s Pizza Cucina.
The nightlife was enjoyable. Mina has a nice artsy spin meshed with hip hop culture. The entertainers on the dance floor provoked my excitement and inner confidence pertaining to dancing. Impala wasn’t necssarily my favorite venue, but the downstairs DJ for the evening, Cheryl’s friend, was so so good. Not only was he technically skilled (ie never missed a beat, never off beat, no awkward transitions), but he also had a nice palate of genres in which his remixes flowed. Some of the best cross-mixing, remixing period, I’ve heard for a long while.
My two top songs that kept me motivated for the long drive: Crystal Castles “Crimewave” and Digitalism “Pogo”
